(The challenge)

When Hutcheon Homes first launched, there was no existing brand identity in place. While the company had strong skills and experience within the trade, it lacked the visual presence needed to communicate this professionally to potential clients.

Some of the key challenges included:

    Without a defined visual identity, the business had no recognisable brand presence across marketing materials or online platforms.
  2. Standing out within a saturated industry
    Research into similar businesses in the local area revealed that many competitors relied on very generic logos and branding, which made it difficult for companies to differentiate themselves.
  3. Building trust with potential clients
    In the construction and property sector, credibility and professionalism play a major role in attracting clients. The brand needed to reflect the quality of workmanship and reliability the business prides itself on.
  4. Creating a brand that could grow with the business
    As Hutcheon Homes planned to expand its services, it was important to develop a brand that would feel established, professional and scalable.
  5. Creating a strong first impression online
    With many clients now searching for tradespeople online, the brand needed to translate well across digital platforms and future marketing materials.

Our goal was to create a brand identity that felt bold, professional and distinctive within the construction industry, while still remaining approachable and relevant to the trade.

Brand Strategy & Identity

Through competitor research and conversations with the client, we identified an opportunity to move away from the generic visual style often seen across similar businesses. Instead, we focused on developing a brand that would feel confident, memorable and professional, helping Hutcheon Homes stand out within a competitive market.


The brand identity was designed to provide Hutcheon Homes with a clear and recognisable visual presence that could be applied consistently across all platforms.


Key elements of the brand identity included:

  • A full logo suite, including a primary logo, secondary logo and submark to allow flexibility across different applications.
  • Carefully selected typography to ensure the brand feels strong, modern and easy to read.
  • A bold colour palette, designed to introduce vibrancy while still incorporating tones associated with the construction and industrial sector.
  • A custom brand pattern to add visual interest and provide additional design assets for use across marketing materials.
  • This identity system allows the brand to remain consistent across both digital and physical touchpoints, helping Hutcheon Homes establish a more professional and recognisable presence.
Creative Design & Collateral

Alongside the core brand identity, we developed supporting design elements that would help the business begin applying its new branding immediately.


The brand assets were created to be practical and adaptable, ensuring they could be used across a range of materials as the business grows. These assets provide a strong foundation for future applications such as printed materials, branded clothing, vehicle graphics, and digital marketing.

As part of the project, we also developed a website for Hutcheon Homes to support the business’s online presence.


The website was designed to clearly showcase the services offered while presenting the business in a professional and trustworthy way. Key information such as services, past work, and contact details were structured to be easily accessible for potential clients.
