MFL Roofing is a family-run roofing business based in the heart of the New Forest. With a strong focus on reliability, quality workmanship and trusted service, the business wanted a brand that would better reflect its professionalism and local heritage.

Like many businesses within the trade sector, the visual landscape of roofing companies in the area is often dominated by very similar logos and branding styles. Many rely on generic roof graphics or templated designs, making it difficult for individual businesses to stand out.


For MFL Roofing, the goal was to create a brand that felt professional, recognisable and trustworthy, while also establishing a stronger online presence through a dedicated website.


Some of the key challenges included:

  • Moving away from conventional roofing branding
    Many local competitors relied on similar roof-shaped icons and generic logos. The challenge was to create something distinctive while still feeling appropriate for the industry.
  • Creating a recognisable identity for a family-run business
    The brand needed to feel professional and credible while still maintaining the approachable, trustworthy nature of a family-run company.

    As a company operating within the New Forest area, it was important that the brand subtly reflected the environment and community it serves.

Our approach focused on creating a brand identity that felt clean, professional and rooted in the local area, while still remaining distinctive within the roofing industry.

Brand Strategy & Identity

The brand identity for MFL Roofing was designed to balance simplicity with recognisability.


A key element of the identity was incorporating the company’s abbreviated initials (MFL) into a subtle roof-shaped icon. This approach allowed the logo to reference the roofing industry in a way that felt refined rather than overly obvious.



The identity system included:

  • A full logo suite, allowing the brand to be used flexibly across different formats and materials.
  • An integrated roof icon, formed from the brand’s initials to create a distinctive and memorable mark.
  • A carefully selected colour palette, incorporating slate greys to reflect roofing materials alongside forest greens as a subtle nod to the company’s New Forest heritage.
  • Typography selection, ensuring the brand feels strong, clear and easy to read across all applications.

Together, these elements create a cohesive visual identity that reflects the professionalism and reliability of the business.

Creative Design & Collateral

The new identity was designed to be easily applied across the business’s everyday touchpoints.


By creating a flexible logo suite and defined colour palette, the brand can be used consistently across both digital and printed materials as the business continues to grow.


The visual system provides a strong foundation for future marketing materials, branded workwear, vehicle graphics and printed assets, ensuring the business presents itself consistently across all customer interactions.

Web Design & Development

As part of the project, we also designed and developed a new website for MFL Roofing.


The goal was to create a clear, professional online presence that reflects the new brand identity while making it easy for potential clients to find information about the business and its services.
